FAQ
Common questions.
What is a mutual fund?
A mutual fund pools money from many investors. A professional fund manager at an asset management company invests that money in shares, bonds or other securities, following the objective set out for each scheme.
What is a SIP?
A Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is a way of investing a fixed amount at regular intervals, such as every month. It is a method of investing, not a separate product. A SIP does not guarantee a profit or protect you from a loss.
Are mutual funds safe?
Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. The value of your investment can rise or fall, and the level of risk differs from scheme to scheme. Each scheme's documents describe its risk level. No scheme can guarantee returns.
What is NAV?
Net Asset Value (NAV) is the value of one unit of a scheme. It is calculated at the end of each business day, based on the value of the scheme's holdings after expenses.
Does past performance tell me what will happen next?
No. Past performance may or may not continue in the future. It is one piece of information among many and should never be treated as a promise.
What does a mutual fund distributor do?
A mutual fund distributor helps investors understand schemes, explore options and complete their investments and related processes.
Where can I read the official details of a scheme?
Every scheme has official documents, including the Scheme Information Document and the Key Information Memorandum. These are published by the fund house and you should read them before investing.
This information is for general education. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Read all scheme related documents carefully before investing. Disclosures
